New Hope Centre

New Hope Centre was established in 2005 in Burundi and relocated to Rwanda in 2015 for safety reasons due to the escalating violence and political instability where it continues to the present. Currently the Centre has 3 primary age and 12 secondary age children with 4 mamas.

Currently the Centre still has both primary school and secondary school aged children with 4 mama’s. 16 of the children have graduated from secondary schooling and 10 have completed their university studies earning a bachelor’s degree. All are Congolese refugees who no longer have a home outside of New Hope and all are pursuing employment or further educational opportunities. Many are hoping to migrate to Europe, Canada or USA through UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees). Najenga Hope Society is working actively to identify opportunities for these victims of war and violence.
